Binaural beats 14 30hz11/18/2023 ![]() The aim of the present systematic review is, thus, to synthesize existing empirical research. At first glance, however, the available literature on brainwave entrainment effects due to binaural beat stimulation appears to be inconclusive at best. Studies, particularly in more applied fields, usually refer to neuroscientific research demonstrating that binaural beats elicit systematic changes in EEG parameters. The brainwave entrainment hypothesis, which assumes that external stimulation at a certain frequency leads to the brain’s electrocortical activity oscillating at the same frequency, provides the basis for research on the effects of binaural beat stimulation on cognitive and affective states. Binaural beats can be perceived in the frequency range of about 1–30 Hz, a range that coincides with the main human EEG frequency bands. (If you’re looking to be more creative and innovative in your thinking, keep in mind that sleep itself is a powerful tool.Binaural beats are an auditory phenomenon that occurs when two tones of different frequencies, which are presented separately to each ear, elicit the sensation of a third tone oscillating at the difference frequency of the two tones. This has scientists examining the possibility that binaural beats can be used to stimulate creativity. Studies have shown that binaural beats may affect levels of dopamine, a hormone that plays a broad role in cognition and a particular role in creative thinking. Attention may also be improved by using binaural beats.Research suggests that binaural beats can help working memory and long-term memory, and also strengthen connections among networks within the brain.Scientists are also looking at how binaural beats affect cognitive abilities, and whether this is a therapy that can be used to enhance cognitive functions such as learning, memory, focus, and creativity. The average increase was more than 97 percent.Īnother study looked at whether binaural beats helped anxiety in patients preparing for cataract surgery, and found that binaural beats led to reduced anxiety levels and lower blood pressure levels before surgery.īinaural beats to enhance cognition and creativity The study found 73 percent of participants had higher levels of melatonin after using binaural beats. Melatonin levels rise dramatically in the evening, and the hormone works to relax your body and mind, preparing you to fall asleep. The study found that 70 percent of participants experienced a reduction in cortisol after exposure to binaural beats. Too-high cortisol levels are associated with insomnia, as well as more time spent in light sleep, rather than deep sleep. Cortisol levels rise and fall in connection to circadian rhythms-cortisol levels rise to their peak levels first thing in the morning, just in time for you to be active for the day. Cortisol.Cortisol is an arousal hormone, stimulating alertness and attention. The study found that 68 percent of participants had increases to DHEA after using binaural beats. ![]() ![]() Particularly significant for sleep is that DHEA works to suppress cortisol, a hormone that stimulates alertness and provokes stress at elevated levels. DHEA is critical to immune function and disease protection. DHEA functions as a kind of master hormone, helping to produce other hormones in the body on an as-needed basis.

You’ll know the amount of inventory without completing the time-consuming task of counting physical inventory periodically. While the periodic system can be more cost-effective, the perpetual system can offer more precise inventory data and financial statements. However, it’s important to weigh the benefits of both systems carefully. Some popular perpetual inventory management systems include NetSuite and Fishbowl Inventory. While these systems can offer more accurate and updated inventory data, they also come with higher costs - as you’ll need to invest in hardware, software, and employee training. In contrast, perpetual inventory systems often involve the use of sophisticated software and technology to track inventory in real time. ![]() Instead, this cost method relies on simpler record-keeping methods - which can help you reduce the total cost of inventory management by eliminating an additional software cost. One of the key advantages of the periodic inventory system is that you don’t need to invest in expensive software or complex accounting systems. This approach offers better inventory control, allowing you to manage inventory costs efficiently. The smaller scale of operations lets you complete a physical inventory item count and estimate the cost of goods sold for specific periods. The periodic inventory system is particularly well-suited if you own a small business that maintains minimal inventory. The periodic inventory system offers several benefits, including: Good for small businesses What are the benefits of using a periodic inventory system? In the end, picking between a perpetual and periodic inventory system - and the right inventory valuation method - really depends on what works best for your specific business and resources. Just remember that the way you value your inventory should follow generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). You can apply both methods to perpetual or periodic inventory systems, but they might give different results for your ending inventory balance and the cost of goods sold, depending on how your inventory moves and if prices change.

Best southern mac and cheese recipe11/17/2023 ![]() Cooking does not have to be a headache or a hassle, and If I can make the Kitchen less spooky to my fellow millennial, then I have done my job. My Kitchen is a place where I can turn on my favorite music, pour myself a cocktail or glass of wine, and create a tasty masterpiece. As I got older, cooking not only became my passion but also my therapy as I went through various trials. Taste the milk mixture and add salt & pepper until it has a good taste. I can remember watching in amazement as my mother skillfully prepared many southern and international dishes, which later led me to become curious about recreating the same outcome. In a large bowl, add milk, heavy cream & cheeses (except for the smoked cheddar). You can substitute a cup of pimiento cheese for one of the cheese in this recipe, or try our Pimiento Mac and Cheese. I grew up in south Florida, which is a melting pot of various cooking styles and had access to every type of soul food, seafood, and Caribbean food you can think of. Use pimiento cheese: A Southern staple, pimiento cheese adds ultra creamy richness and a hint of peppery tang to mac and cheese. It is my belief that our mothers and grandmothers should not be the only people in the family that are able to make delicious meals that are full of flavor and love. My goal is to inspire millennials to become more comfortable in the Kitchen. Cook the mixture for 5 minutes, whisking constantly. Step 3 Melt the butter in a large pot and sprinkle in the flour. In a heavy-bottomed large pot over medium heat, melt the butter. The macaroni should be too firm to eat right out of the pot. Add the macaroni, cook for 8 - 9 minutes. Step 1 Cook the macaroni until very firm.(There's always a good gruyère cheese substitute at the grocery store, too.) Keep it simple with just sharp cheddar or sprinkle in a variety depending on what you like best. I almost always mix different types of cheese: colby, monterey jack, fontina, mild cheddar, pepper jack… even a little gruyère if I allow myself to be in denial about how expensive it is to buy. Author: Imma Published: Updated: Southern Baked Mac and Cheese is a ridiculously creamy, cheesy, soulful baked mac and cheese brimming with great Southern flavors. What’s the best cheese to use in mac and cheese? Just be sure not to bake it too long so the macaroni doesn't dry out! Bake just until the cheese is melted and bubbly. ![]() That extra layer of cheese helps hold in the moisture when it bakes in the oven. But the secret to baked mac and cheese is this crispy top, which hides a creamy, soft bottom. There's whole milk, a pound of cheese, and an egg to thank for that. The star of this recipe is the cheesiest, dreamiest cream sauce that sinks into every nook and cranny of the macaroni. How do you keep macaroni and cheese creamy? The resulting creaminess is worth the extra step! Oh, the cheese! Pre-shredded, bagged cheeses don't melt as well as cheese grated straight from the block, so be sure to do that yourself. Stir in the cheeses (reserving the 1 cup for topping) and stir until well-combined and melted. Add in the seasonings (onion powder, garlic powder, creole seasoning, and cayenne), and stir to combine. Gently simmer until the mixture begins to thicken. The dried mustard powder (or a substitute for mustard powder if you're really stuck) provides the perfect tangy bite that balances all that richness, and then there's the cheese. Follow with the half and half, still whisking all the while. Adding an egg to mac and cheese makes the sauce smooth, velvety, and heavenly rich. There are a few ingredients that make this the best macaroni and cheese ever. And it's the only pasta (or food) I consumed until I was about fourteen years old. Ak rivet bolt cutter modification11/17/2023 ![]() The standard-issue AK-74 muzzle brake has been subtly revised several times since the 1970s. The muzzle brake prevents backblast from reaching the firer, although it is reported to be harsh on bystanders as the muzzle gases are dispersed to the sides. A flat plate near the end of the brake produces a forward thrust when emerging exhaust gases strike its surface, greatly reducing recoil. The distinctive standard-issue muzzle brake features a large expansion chamber, two symmetrical vertical cuts at the forward end of the brake and three non symmetrical positioned vent holes to counteract muzzle rise and climb as well as lateral shift to the right much like the AKM's offset muzzle brake. However the muzzle threads have been relocated to the front sight base for both easier and more economic replacement in case of thread damage. Like the AK-47 and AKM, the muzzle is threaded for the installation of various muzzle devices such as the standard muzzle brake or a blank-firing adaptor, while a spring-loaded detent pin held in the front sight post prevents them from unscrewing while firing. A pair of support brackets are cast into the gas block assembly and are used to attach a BG-15c or GP-25 underslung 40 mm grenade launcher. The gas block contains a gas channel that is installed at a 90° angle in relation to the bore axis to reduce bullet shear at the port hole. The front sight base and gas block were redesigned. The rifle received a new barrel with a chrome-lined bore and 4 right-hand grooves at a 200 mm (1:7.87 in) or 37 calibers rifling twist rate. Other minor modifications were made to the bolt and carrier assembly.īarrel An AK-74M muzzle device venting propellant gases Since the Kalashnikov operating system offers no primary extraction upon bolt rotation, the 5.45×39mm AK-74 bolt has a larger extractor claw than the 7.62×39mm AKM for increased extraction reliability. Like previous Kalashnikov-pattern rifles, the AK-74 does not have a gas valve excess gases are ventilated through a series of radial ports in the gas cylinder. The moving assembly has about 5.5 mm (0.2 in) of free travel which creates a delay between the initial recoil impulse of the piston and the bolt unlocking sequence, allowing gas pressures to drop to a safe level before the seal between the chamber and the bolt is broken. ![]() The build-up of gases inside the gas cylinder drives the long-stroke piston and bolt carrier rearward and a cam guide machined into the underside of the bolt carrier along with an ejector spur on the bolt carrier rail guide, rotates the bolt approximately 35° and unlocks it from the barrel extension via a camming pin on the bolt. After ignition of the cartridge primer and propellant, rapidly expanding propellant gases are diverted into the gas cylinder above the barrel through a vent near the muzzle. The rifle's operation during firing and reloading is identical to that of the AKM. Operating mechanism The AK-74 stripped down to its major components About 50% of the parts in the AK-74 and AKM are the same (including pins, springs and screws).
